Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Free uniforms Health insurance Paid time off Appliance Tech - Boston Metro Area - Great Pay & Benefits We are looking for an experienced refrigeration techs experienced in sealed systems along with other appliance repair experience in cooking dishwasher's washers and dryers, in MA and NH. We have openings in the Plymouth Bristol and Norfolk counties in MA. We are a Whirlpool exclusive service provider and only work on their manufactured brands. We are located in MA and service both MA and NHWe do not micro-manage our techs, so we are looking for self-motivated individuals, if you have a knack for troubleshooting, and are able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines. Ideally, you have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers. Our ownership group has vast appliance service experience and were previous techs. We understand what techs need and want. Needs to be personable and able to work with customers in their home. Technical background and aptitude. Know how to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals. Ability to learn new skills. Self-starter and good work ethic is a must. Must pass background, driving and drug screening. Specific Responsibilities: Accurately diagnose and repair appliances/equipment in the customer's home Provide cost estimates for repairs/installations and collect payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed Ensure the efficient use of materials and keep company vehicle and equipment properly serviced Complete invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports as required Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions Job Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent Valid Driver's License with a clean record Must be at least 18 years of age Proficiency to navigate tablet-based technology The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis Flexible and variable hours. Weekends are not mandatory Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. EXPERIENCED TECHNICIAN $25 to $32/hr BENEFITS Medical and dental insurance, 2 weeks paid vacation/year (3 weeks vacation after 5 years), 1 floating personal day, 6 paid holidays/year, 401k program with company contribution after one full calendar month of employment. Company provided vehicle (That you are allowed to use while working and take home every evening.) Compensation: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour As an appliance repair technician, you'll work with anything from dishwashers to microwaves to dryers. In other words, you'll need to be fairly knowledgeable about large appliances, portable appliances, mechanical work, as well as electrical work. You'll deal with more than just appliances, though, as a repair technician, you'll have to deal with people, too. Appliance repair technicians must also have skills in high mechanical aptitude, have impeccable written and verbal communication skills, work adeptly with repair tools, be okay with lifting heavy machinery, and of course, be incredibly skilled in troubleshooting problems.
