We're looking for a Director for our Missile Defense Group’s (MDG’s) Mission Information Technology (MIT) Department. MDG is a single-client Performance Unit (PU) supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. Position Title: Mission IT Director Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO Relocation Assistance: None available at this time Remote/Telework: NO - Not available for this position Clearance Type: DoD Secret Shift: Day shift (Mon-Fri) Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time Description of Duties: The Mission IT Director supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will: Operations: Direct operations associated with integrating IT capabilities into the Missile Defense System. Directs and manages internal/external communications and functional program activities to meet cost, schedule and performance objectives of the organization and task order; and provides products and services, which includes the correct people, processes, and tools to meet mission requirements. Leadership and Management: Focus on continuous improvement; tactically allocate and strategically forecast resources to ensure the sustainment, renewal, and growth of the technical expertise within the department; develop and manage coordination, collaboration, communication, integration activities and processes between IRES and government leaders; and coordinate, integrate and deliver innovations to the task order mission areas, and IRES as a whole. Customer Relations: Optimize customer visibility; interface with senior MDA Officials; and establish transparent, trusting and strategic relations. Basic Requirements: Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 18 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 16 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 14 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 12 years of general experience. Must have 10 years of experience working in a management or leadership role. Must have demonstrated proficiency and success in leading and managing complex and diverse organizations. Must have experience in Program Management, including direct experience in: project planning & management, risk management, strategic planning & execution, and contract performance management/assessments. Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance. Desired Requirements: Have working knowledge and experience in missile defense or other complex weapon systems. Have directly related experience leading Department of Defense testing or operations (i.e. contractor and/or military service). Be able to thrive in a dynamic environment and be able to adapt to change and drive change. Have an active DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance. This position is expected to pay $209,000 - $234,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
