Amentum is seeking a Senior Model Based Systems Engineer to join our engineering team in Dahlgren, VA. Position contingent on funding. Responsibilities include providing model-based systems engineering (MBSE) support for clients' development as part of enterprise architecture; developing and coordinating MBSE architecture model and initiatives; collaborating with clients' engineers to capture system behavior and structure; reviewing and analyzing system requirements, behaviors, and structures; identifying integration issues, system requirement discrepancies, and impacts to appropriate requirements and/or design specifications across multiple systems; recommending potential enhancements to the system; advising the Government by researching new concepts and technologies and developing new Fleet capabilities; helping design, review, and contribute to the Navy's new system; developing descriptive models using MagicDraw / Cameo / SysML; performing systems engineering to advise SSP on the design and development of the replacement missile as well as the supporting software and systems; performing analysis and problem-solving techniques necessary to execute professional scientific/engineering work; providing a thorough understanding of SysML diagrams and DoDAF diagrams, and familiarity with Unified Architecture Framework (UAF); managing and maintaining configuration control of all approved models, simulation, and analysis products and all versioning thereafter. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline or 10 years of systems engineering experience in lieu of a degree; ten years professional systems engineering experience with a DoD major strategic, platform, weapon, combat, Command and Control (C2), and/or fire control systems program, with five years’ concurrent experience as a team leader performing system engineering and mission engineering efforts; experience with modeling software including MagicDraw / Cameo / SysML; active Secret security clearance or interim approval; US Citizenship required. Preferred qualifications include experience working with Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) or other SLBM organizations and experience managing software developments.
