Senior Title Officer/Underwriter
Rockland County, NY/Remote150-200K
Position Overview : We are seeking an experienced Title Underwriter to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have expert-level knowledge in title insurance policies , underwriting , risk assessment , and insurance coverage . This role will be pivotal in providing exceptional client service by ensuring the title insurance policies we offer meet our clients' needs for maximum coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
Title Risk Assessment : Review, evaluate, and assess title issues to determine insurability.
Policy Creation : Draft and issue title insurance policies while ensuring they provide optimal protection for clients.
Underwriting : Assess the risk of title defects, resolve complex issues, and ensure our policies comply with legal standards and regulations.
Client Interaction : Work closely with clients to explain policy terms, coverage, exclusions, and resolve any questions or concerns.
Collaboration : Collaborate with internal teams and assist with the clearance of title issues that affect the underwriting process.
Problem Resolution : Identify potential problems in title searches, recommend solutions, and ensure policies are issued on time and with the correct terms.
Qualifications:
Experience : 5+ years of experience in title underwriting , policy writing , or risk assessment in the title insurance industry.
Skills :
Expert knowledge of title insurance policies , underwriting , and risk assessment .
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex title issues.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
Education : A background in real estate law, finance, or related field is a plus.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to clients.
Highly organized and proactive in managing workloads.
