For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Somerset, NJ for the school year. This unique position will involve working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility, providing academic support adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.
Position entails a 20-40 hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday, 7am - 11am or 7am-3:30pm based on candidate preference, some flexibility with start time as well. This position includes a $1,500 sign on bonus !
$500 bonus paid out after teacher's 30 days of employment and then the remaining $1,000 paid out on last day of school.
